Teradata Certification exams do NOT have eligibility requirements or expiration dates. Candidates are encouraged to test the exams that they believe they are prepared for.

The VantageCloud Lake Associate Exam will certify that the successful candidate has knowledge of the core concepts of VantageCloud Lake. The candidate understands general concepts, data lake architectures and components, core features and functionality of VantageCloud Lake, security and privacy, and Teradata data distribution and data access methods—including a basic understanding of Teradata Tools and Utilities
Candidate has the knowledge and skills necessary to use specified Vantage functions, effectively contextualize data, create and communicate compelling and actionable insights from data, and apply analytics/visualization techniques for the investigation of all relevant data.
Candidate has the knowledge and skills necessary to use specified Vantage functions, effectively contextualize data, create and communicate compelling and actionable insights from data, apply analytics or visualization techniques for the investigation of all relevant data, apply and interpret machine learning, choose the appropriate function parameters so the output matches the situation (optimized), apply statistical concepts and methodologies, and select the appropriate machine learning methods and algorithms interpreting the model performance/accuracy to derive insights for decision-making.
Candidate has the knowledge and skills necessary to design and operationalize data processing systems, manage and optimize data solutions including unstructured data and understand and leverage the tools and features of Vantage to enable interoperability.
Candidate has the knowledge and skills of a Vantage Administrator that are necessary relating to Monitoring Vantage, Performance Management, Security Management and Auditing, User Administration, Database Management and Workload Management and Integration necessary to monitor Vantage.
Candidate has the knowledge of the core concepts of Vantage 2.3 and the Advanced SQL Engine. The candidate understands relational database concepts, the major components, core features and functionality, security and privacy, and Teradata data distribution and data access methods—including a basic understanding of Teradata Tools and Utilities.
Candidate has the knowledge and skills necessary to architect solutions with rigor centered around Teradata Vantage and its interactions with the surrounding ecosystem. This includes architecture concepts, deployment options (cloud, on-premises, and hybrid), information management and data governance, performance design, data integration, data security, resiliency and portability, and information delivery.
